I recently stumbled across this map of STONE-WIND and surrounding areas while browsing for some images to use. This is the original map from the first Warcraft game, Orc and Humans. I find it interesting to see how things have changed since the first game. It's also impressive how many of these original locations are locations in game, even if they aren't quite in the same locations.
If you still have the original manuals from the old Warcraft games I highly suggest taking a trip down memory lane. As a kid I loved looking at the art in those manuals and trying to draw my own ferocious orcs or ghastly death knights. Warcraft was really the game that got me into the fantasy genre.
