Home Sweet Home

It has been a week since I resubscribed to the game and my reorientation is going smoothly. I have spent quite a bit of time running random battlegrounds, picking up several upgrades including the helm and shoulder enchants for future upgrades when season 11 begins. I have also jumped back into tanking via the random Zandalari dungeons. The first run through, Zul-Gurub, was quite the adventure. If it had not been for some timely battle rezzes, we would have wiped a few times. By the end of the night I was back in fighting shape and my group was able to complete the timed challenge in Zul-Aman. This was actually a challenge due to a sub-par feral druid dragging the meters down. You can see on the overall meters that he was lagging behind even me, the protection paladin. I think it came out that he wasn't using swipe on the group pulls.

Guess who won the Amani War Bear....

I mentioned in my last post about planning for the new arena season, but I was counting on finding more information over at Wowhead. I intended to look at the new gear available for honor points, but I have been unable to find any information about that new gear. Instead I started buying upgrades from the honor quartermaster's current selection. Most notable among my upgrades was finally getting a two handed weapon with resilience on it. This replaced my current axe, the Reforged Trollbane; the extra resilience put me over 3500 and was a decent dps upgrade as well.

I still have some upgrades to get out of the Zandalari dungeons between now and early morning Tuesday when servers go down for maintenance and patch 4.3 is rumored to go live. As of now, I should have the gear to at least queue up for the three new five man dungeons. According to some different forum posts, the item level requirement is 353 average. I am hoping the new dungeons are not quite as difficult as the three Icecrown dungeons that came out in in Wrath of the Lich King.

I hope to get some upgrades out of the new dungeons and get into the Raid Finder. I have watched the summary video of the Deathwing raid, and I can't wait to face down the fallen aspect and see all the epic action first hand. Of course, if history has taught me anything, patch 4.3 won't really be completely playable until at least Wednesday. Expect to see a later this week detailing my exploits in the new dungeons and hopefully a screenshot of me dancing on Deathwing's rotting corpse.
